WHAT IS THE MINIMUM AGE TO JOIN THE PROGRAM?

We would love to accommodate all ages but the minimum age to join the program is 18.

WHERE WILL I LIVE?

Our homes are centrally located in Rondebosch east. A safe and and close knit community. 3 Minutes away from the Cape Volunteers headquarters. It has everything you will need. Grocery stores, quick and easy access to public transport and 5 mins away from the CBD.

HOW MUCH DOES THE PROGRAM COST?

Our programs runs from 4-12 weeks and we charge a flat fee of $2875. To learn more about the program cost and what it offers, please email our consultants.

SHOULD I BRING MY CELLPHONE TO SOUTH AFRICA?

We will provide you with a South African sim card which you can use in your own mobile phone. If you do not want to bring your own mobile phone with you we can provide you with an entry level rental phone at $50, it includes data, Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, Uber etc. Ask us for more info on this

IS THERE GOOD HIGH SPEED WI-FI IN CAPE TOWN?

There definitely is high speed Wi-Fi. We have 3g/4g & LTE. We have Wi-Fi in our homes, internet cafes, offices, restaurants and coffee shops.

WILL I BE SAFE IN SA?

Since we are exclusively based in Cape Town, we are able to keep an eye and be more available to our interns/volunteers. We have a 24 hour emergency hotline and we have regular check ins with our interns/volunteers. Our 2 day orientation will have our interns/volunteers very clued up on Cape Town and its lifestyles. We do everything to ensure safe housing options, airport pick ups and drop offs and overall the safety and well-being of our take-ins.

DO I NEED A VISA TO ENTER SOUTH AFRICA?

Yes,it’s a simple process as they’re issued at the airport when you arrive.

DO I NEED MEDICAL CHECK-UPS OR VACCINATIONS BEFORE ENTERING SOUTH AFRICA?

You do not need to take any vaccinations prior to arriving in South Africa but chat with your travel clinic or doctor for further advice.
